1. Antimicrobial Efficacy Against Six Mycoplasma Species

MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray completely prevented the proliferation of six Mycoplasma species by surface decontamination, ensuring reliable contamination control in critical environments.

To evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray, six different Mycoplasma species were cultured on solid agar media. The plates were divided into two sections: one side was treated with MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray via spray application, while the other side was left untreated to serve as a control.

Following incubation, complete inhibition of Mycoplasma growth was observed on the treated side, whereas substantial colony formation occurred on the untreated control side.

These results demonstrate that MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray effectively suppresses Mycoplasma proliferation on surfaces, highlighting its potential for preventing contamination in critical cell culture environments.

 

Each agar plate shows untreated growth on the left side and the area treated with MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray on the right side. Complete inhibition of Mycoplasma growth was observed on the treated side, confirming the potent decontamination capability of MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray.

In all cases, untreated sides displayed substantial Mycoplasma growth, while treated sides remained clear, demonstrating effective microbial suppression.

 

2. Superior Antibacterial Activity Compared to Commercial Products

MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray outperformed commercial disinfectants, showing more than 1.5 times greater antibacterial activity against Acholeplasma laidlawii and Escherichia coli , key indicators of microbial contamination.

A comparative antibacterial assay was performed using Acholeplasma laidlawii , a widely recognized indicator strain for Mycoplasma, and Escherichia coli , a representative Gram-negative bacterium.

This superior efficacy suggests that MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray offers enhanced protection against a broader range of microbial contaminants, particularly in laboratory settings where sterility is paramount.

 

3. Strong Quantitative Antibacterial Performance with Broad-Spectrum Activity

Quantitative analyses showed consistent inhibition zones averaging over 3 mm, with particularly strong effectiveness against Gram-negative bacteria, which are often resistant to conventional disinfectants.  

These findings confirm that MycoClean™ plus Mycoplasma Prevention Spray not only targets Mycoplasma but also provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection critical for maintaining sterile laboratory environments.
