Description

The LiliF^® ASFV Real-time PCR Kit (PreMix) is a diagnostic reagent designed for the qualitative detection of African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) using a TaqMan probe–based real-time PCR method. This assay specifically targets ASFV and enables the detection of trace amounts of viral nucleic acids with high sensitivity. During amplification, the 5′→3′ exonuclease activity of Taq polymerase cleaves the TaqMan probe, generating a fluorescent signal that is continuously monitored by real-time PCR instruments. This mechanism ensures excellent sensitivity and specificity, providing reliable and accurate ASFV detection.

Technical Data

1. Limit of Detection (LOD) test

● Stable LoD Performance Across Multiple Sample Matrices.

The limit of detection (LoD) was confirmed based on comparable Ct values obtained across diverse sample matrices.

This kit enables stable ASFV detection without performance degradation depending on sample type (Ct cut-off value: 37).

2. Reference Panel Test

● Comparative Ct Performance Using EURL ASFV Reference DNA

In testing using EURL ASFV reference DNA, the LiliF^® ASFV Real-time PCR Kit (PreMix) demonstrated superior detection performance by showing lower Ct values compared to competitor products.

TroubleShooting Guide

QThe target signal is positive, but the IPC shows a negative result. How should this be interpreted?

A- If the positive control shows a valid positive result, the reaction can still be interpreted as positive. A negative IPC may occur due to signal interference caused by a strong target amplification or competitive inhibition during the PCR reaction use.

QWhat should I do if my instrument does not have a HEX channel?

A - The Internal Positive Control (IPC) uses the HEX channel, which has relatively low fluorescence intensity. If your instrument does not support the HEX channel, you may use the VIC or JOE channel as an alternative.

QWhat are the product’s shelf life and storage conditions?

A- The shelf life of this product is 12 months from the date of manufacture, and it should be stored frozen at –20 °C or below. When using frozen reagents, ensure that they are completely thawed to room temperature (15–25 °C) before use. Repeated freeze–thaw cycles may adversely affect product performance, so handle the reagents with care.
